Was in the Hatboro area and I've seen this place pop up a few times.
We decided to swing by try a couple slices.
The chicken cordon bleu is very unique, a little on the greasy side but very tasty. Plain slice is a solid, excellent crust texture and crispy.
Very little flop.
Got to say I was pleasantly surprised will stop back again in a heartbeat.
Ok so on our overnight calls at Abington we occasionally spice up our evening and order delivery. We have previously ordered from here, see review down below, during our keto days. I, for the sake of yelp of course, ordered from here now that I eat normal food again to be able to provide a more comprehensive review.
We went a little hard and ordered cheese pizza (large, obv), penne vodka, curly fries, and garlic bread.
The large pizza was very large. The crust's integrity was lacking and it was very flimsy. The flavor of the pizza was fine and distinct. It did feel like something was missing however was pretty good once some frank's was added.
The penne vodka I saw on another review is "one of the best they've ever had". So, this penne vodka for some reason comes with mushrooms and pancetta. I have seen pancetta before but what the fuck with the mushrooms? Even my mushroom-whore girlfriend didn't want mushrooms on this bc it's WEIRD. We ordered this without mushrooms.
The pasta was al dente (kisses fingers) and the sauce was good albeit too oniony for my taste. I've had better vodka before but the portions are massive.
Garlic bread is literally italian bread cut it half and spread with some garlic. This in of itself isn't BAD (I'll take a starch and anything with garlic any day) but weak in terms of garlic bread.
The fries were curly and I couldn't detect seasoning. They were still delish as fries always are. I would have appreciated some ketchup or literally any condiment to accompany it tho. Again, the quantity, especially for the price, was impressive.
I had such hope for this place. After a long day of driving and shear exhaustion all we wanted was a nice hot meal. Well I will give it that, and that's about all.
The Veal parm sub was huge enough to feed 2. The veal was pre-cooked and obviously reheated. It was tough and burnt and chunky slices. My son said his burger was ok but his fries looked over cooked.
To make the wasted money worse, I woke with worst stomach pains.
Won't be going back.
Rolled into town tired n hungry after the 10.5hr drive. Like always, checked Yelp to find out what's good food here. After reading numerous reviews of most of the delivery restaurants in the area, found Amy's with the most positive. Thanx for not lying fellow diners. Chicken Alfredo was really good n a simple cheese pizza was equally good. Quick n polite delivery. DEFINITELY would recommend Amy's place. :))
This place is becoming my favorite pizza place in town. They always deliver way ahead of their projected timeframes, they're not expensive, but their food is always delicious and hot when it arrives.
